Randy Thompson

The Come Back Kid!!!   #31 this week!

"...Sometimes it isn’t the mainstream radio where you are going to find some of the best talent and Randy Thompson's “Further On” is living proof of this. If you love good, solid songwriting that has great lyrics and a great mix of music from more traditional based songs to more upbeat, rocking country tunes than Randy Thompson is a must listen artist..."

The Mystix

The former front man for the 70’s powerhouse Duke and the Drivers,
Jo Lily has assembled a quintet of some of Boston’s most respected and
heralded sidemen to form The Mystix, Boston’s best unknown export
since Dropkick Murphys. The formula is pretty simple...take guitar
legend Bobby Keyes, put him in front of one of the most precise rhythm
sections on the east coast, Marty Richards and Marty Ballou (The M&M
Brothers) mix in the keyboards of Tom West...wait, we need a singer,
maybe another axe...the Dylanesque grit and credibility of Jo Lily ought
to work. “Damn! I want to hear that band.” The resulting Blue Morning
is everything you imagine it could be. Something for everyone as long
as everyone includes ‘real’ music people who don’t compromise on the
quality of their music. You probably know a few of them, or you are one
yourself. This record is for you. We sat down with the band’s founder
and co-producer Jo Lily to talk about music, history and his new band.
